Tips to get the best Beaufort, SC rental experience:
When to visit Fripp Island & When to reserve a Beaufort, SC rental home:
- Summer time is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.
Planning and choosing the rightvacation home:
- Select a group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Island & Golf Getaway - 137 Ocean Point Drive has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property owner before you book the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what configuration is best for your vacation group.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
Some things to know before you go:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- At Check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your life at home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
