Tips and Tricks for getting the best Fripp Island vacation rental experience:

Getting the most from your spending budget:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Beaufort, SC area. To get the best value, consider changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, SC area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have money saving offers on nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Make a plan and choose the best Beaufort, SC rental:

  • Choose your vacation week and budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Island & Golf Getaway - 137 Ocean Point Drive has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property manager before reserving your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or costs could be applied to your contract.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, SC destination you are crazy about, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Tips to have a wonderful stay:

  • Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Upon check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to drive future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
