Strategies to get the best Beaufort, SC rental home experience:
Find your perfect rental:
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- To book the best rental within budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Select vacation dates and max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. 3-bedroom, pet okay, central air, 1G WiFi, fenced backyard, W\/D has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC vacation rental search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property management company before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
- If your family is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Note any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to inspire future reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
