Tips to get the very best rental experience:

When to reserve a Beaufort, SC rental & When to go:

  • The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring is a good way to save on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides contain offers and deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Make a plan and pick the right Beaufort, SC rental:

  • First, have your family commit to trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. DIRECT BEACH FRONT\/OCEAN FRONT. John Fripp Villa 101 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Beaufort, SC destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Record any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
