Tips for getting the best Fripp Island rental home experience:
When to go & When to book:
- Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a great way to save on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers typically offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Planning and picking the perfect Beaufort, SC rental home:
- Choose a group leader, choose your dates, and choose a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. New to VRBO! Welcome to Fripp Island and this Newly Renovated Sunsuite! Resort Access Included! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your vacation.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- If your family is traveling with pets, search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas during check in. E-mail the rental manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a wonderful vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
