Our Ocean Creek course was refreshed in 2013 with new paspalum turf, so thick and smooth it acts like tiny tees holding your ball at precisely the right height. Come play the same turf the pros played at the PGA Championship.

Walk out the front door to the beach club which has coffee, ice cream, pizza, chicken, sandwiches, shopping, exercise center, business center, and other pools.
Walk across the street for tennis, or hop on the golf cart for a 5 min. trip to either of the championship golf courses.

Our top Vacation rental tips and tricks:
Sticking to a spending budget:
- Summer is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. To get the best value, try shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Finding the perfect vacation home in the Beaufort, SC area:
- Start by selecting vacation dates and a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. 338 Capt John Fripp Villa W\/Cart, Cards Available! has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available online. Otherwise, call the property owner before you reserve your home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
More considerations for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
- Document any damages to the property at check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of issues.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
