Tricks and tips to get the very best vacation home experience:
Finding the best value:
- Reserve your Beaufort, SC rental property in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Property managers often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines that include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning, selecting, and booking a perfect Beaufort, SC rental:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Shadow Dawn
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available on booking pages. If not, contact the host before booking the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
- If there's an individual Beaufort, SC attraction you love, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager immediately to report any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many issues.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to compel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
