Tips to get the best Beaufort, SC vacation home experience:
Finding the best rental value:

- To get the most suitable rental home for your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Beaufort, SC attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many property management companies supply Beaufort, SC area travel guides that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. Tips to have a smooth stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Record any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute arises.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to compel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
