Beaufort, SC rental home tips:
When to go & When to reserve a Beaufort, SC rental home:
- Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is a great way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Some owners offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning, picking, and booking the perfectrental:
- Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. 1 mile from Parris Island! Close to beaches, restaurants and shopping.. Sleeps 8 has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property owner before you reserve your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
- If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
More considerations:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- Upon check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to stimulate more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
