Strategies to get the optimal vacation rental experience:
Getting the most from your rental budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Booking your Beaufort, SC vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is a good way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property managers offer special rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
