Tips and Tricks to get the perfect rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • To book the best rental home within your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Beaufort, SC restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guides have money saving offers on nearby tours and attractions.

How to pick the best rental in Fripp Island:

  • Start by choosing your a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. STEPS TO SAND ~ BEACH SUNSUITE EFFICIENCY ~ CENTER ISLAND has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property owner before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is best for your trip.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations:

  • Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • At Check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the owner. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Just before checking out, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good ratings to stimulate new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
