Getting the best Fripp Island rental experience:
Sticking to your budget:
- Reserve your rental home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
- Property management companies typically offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Selecting the perfect rental home:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and choose a budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. WINTER\/SPRING ON BEAUTIFUL FRIPP ISLAND! Sea Mist Serenity w\/ Golf cart, pet considered, monthly rates available! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. If not, call the property manager before you reserve the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's a particular Beaufort, SC attraction you are crazy about, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental while you're out. Protect your property!
- Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to inspire new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
