Tips to get the best rental experience:
Get the most from your vacation rental budget:
- Summertime is high season in Beaufort. To get the best value, change your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Planning, picking, and booking a perfectvacation home:
- Select your dates and spending budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Cottage\/Tiny House Living Accommodation in Beaufort for Cost-conscious Traveler has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your family.
- Are you visiting for a specific event? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
- If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the host immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
- Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a great vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
