Getting the best Fripp Island rental home experience:

How to get the best value:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • To find the best value, try changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, SC area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

How to select the best vacation rental:

  • Begin by choosing potential vacation weeks and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Beautiful 3 Bedroom Villa - Golf cart included - 604 Newhaven has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is often available on booking websites. If not, email the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the property manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a great time? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
