Tips to get the best Beaufort, SC rental home experience:
When to reserve a Beaufort, SC rental & When to go:
- Summer time is high season in Fripp Island. To get the largest rental home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Beaufort, SC attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain discounts for local shops and restaurants.
How to select the best vacation home in Fripp Island:
- Select your vacation dates and max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. 838 Fiddlers Ridge - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you book the property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is right for your group.
- Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
More tips for your stay:
- Get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Note any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if a dispute arises.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your life at home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a great time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
