Tips to get the perfect Beaufort, SC rental experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Fripp Island rental home:
- Reserve your Beaufort, SC vacation home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides which will include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to choose the best vacation home in the Beaufort, SC area:
- Begin by selecting your vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Beautiful Lake-Front Home on Fripp Island! Resort Access Included! Golf Cart Included! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
- To make sure damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the host right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of concerns.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected everything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
