- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Book your Beaufort, SC rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines which will include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose and book a perfectrental home:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Bright Dreamy Cottage-Walkable to Water & Downtown has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property management company before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your group.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
- If there's a particular Beaufort, SC attraction you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.

- Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
- During check-in, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
