Tips to get the best Beaufort, SC rental experience:

Get the best value:

  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
  • Some owners offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Begin by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. PROUD MARINE PARENTS NOV DISCOUNT Hoorah! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your family.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or charges applied to your contract.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Advice for a great stay:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Upon check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to drive new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
