New to the rental market. We invite you to appreciate our little bohemian getaway in the Lowcountry! Our home, lovingly known as The Skinny Dipper, features three fashionably appointed bedrooms and two full bathrooms, a freshly remodeled and completely supplied kitchen, a wrap around porch, and a enormous living room ideal for gathering and calming together. Sleeping arrangements are as follows: king bed in the upstairs bedroom; pull out couch in the upstairs loft; Queen and bunk beds in the second bedroom; and Queen in the third bedroom. Our home comfortably sleeps 8-10.  The Dipper also has a sizable garage and intelligent TVs, ideal for lazy, rainy days. A six person golf cart is supplied by Beaufort Carts —by far the preferred means of Fripp transportation—with your stay, complimentary of charge. While we do not currently offer amenities cards, just a few steps away you’ll find a charming private pool, along with a tree home and jungle gym for the adventurous little ones, all of which are only available to the modest community of Sawgrass Bluff. Amenity cards are not required to access the beach, the grocery store, or the deli.
Our island community also has a striking boardwalk and a private crab dock from which you can savor a show stopping sunset over the marsh or quickly access the main thoroughfare to a white sandy beach.
FAMILY PETS MUST BE PREAPPROVED.  You will be asked to sign a pet agreement and pay a non returnable $150 pet fee for the first pet and $75 for a 2nd pet. An additional $300 will be charged for guests that show up with a dog without approval.

Club cards are not available with this property and cannot be purchased elsewhere. Club cards are not required to access the beach, crabbing dock, Wardle's Landing pier, island parks, stores, the Marina deli or Springtide market.  The community center activities also do not require a card.

Getting the best Fripp Island rental home experience:

When to visit Fripp Island & When to book:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Fripp Island. To get the best rental within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area travel guides which often include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and pick the right Beaufort, SC rental:

  • Choose a group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Pet Friendly, Golf Cart included, community pool - 899 Marsh Dunes has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, SC destination you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.

During your stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Upon arrival, note any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a great vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
