Sleeping arrangements are as follows: king bed in the upstairs bedroom; pull out couch in the upstairs loft; Queen and bunk beds in the second bedroom; and Queen in the third bedroom. Our home comfortably sleeps 8-10.  The Dipper also has a enormous garage and intelligent TVs, ideal for lazy, rainy days. Our island community also has a striking boardwalk and a private crab dock from which you can appreciate a show stopping sunset over the marsh or quickly access the main thoroughfare to a white sandy beach.
FAMILY PETS MUST BE PREAPPROVED.  You will be asked to sign a pet agreement and pay a non returnable $150 pet fee for the first pet and $75 for a 2nd pet. An additional $300 will be charged for guests that show up with a dog without approval.

Club cards are not available with this property and cannot be purchased elsewhere. Club cards are not required to access the beach, crabbing dock, Wardle's Landing pier, island parks, stores, the Marina deli or Springtide market.  The community center activities also do not require a card.

Rental property booking tips:

Get the most from your budget:

  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Summer is high season in Fripp Island. To book the largest rental home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Beaufort, SC restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.

  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on good reviews to stimulate more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective.
