How to book the best Port Royal vacation rental experience:
Getting the most from your spending budget:
- Summer time is high season in Port Royal. Booking your Beaufort, SC vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Choose a designated group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a spending budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Charming Port Royal Townhouse - 2 Miles From Parris Island has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rental home search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the host before reserving the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
- If there's a specific Beaufort, SC beach you crave, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Add the owner's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- During arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your life at home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your vacation home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
