Getting the best Beaufort, SC rental home experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Summer months are high season in Port Royal. To find the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites usually offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, SC area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • First, have your family commit to dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Charming Port Royal Townhouse - 2 Miles From Parris Island has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is right for your vacation.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • Document any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
