Many of the pieces, artwork and photos are from the owner's travels around the world. The yard is fenced in to offer privacy, the neighbor is an officer, complimentary Hunting Island pass, beach gear and the internet is super fast. ALL are welcome! :)
Depending on the channel you book through, there may be a $500 pre-authorization hold on the card acting as a security deposit.
We are local and can help with any questions.
Beaufort is located on Port Royal Island, in the heart of the Sea Islands and South Carolina Lowcountry. The city is acclaimed for its breathtaking location and for maintaining a historic character by preservation of its antebellum architecture. My home is located in the Downtown area which is a great mix of people, cultures and homes.
There are a few ride-shares around but I wouldn’t completely depend on it. I recommend having a car and/or bicycle if you are only staying in the downtown area. Check out University Bikes or Lowcountry Bicycles for units.
We have multiple short-term units in the area. Our goal is to make your experience a 5+ star. We are local and can help or make recommendations whenever needed. We have a keypad for simple access and check-in. A fenced-in backyard along with a screened-in porch offers privacy. There is a police officer living next door so you should feel additional secure. We have one Hunting Island pass that is good for one car. We do have a Ring doorbell with a camera on the front porch and a floodlight + camera overlooking the backyard only for security. We have YouTube TV. Lastly, we conveniently have beach gear for any beach adventure.
We have a Parris Island graduation handbook we put together to help you navigate graduation.

Our top Rental home tips and tricks:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Beaufort, SC area. To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
- Some hosts offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
- Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have offers and deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.
Finding the best rental in the Beaufort, SC area:
- Choose a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a spending budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. The Wilmington Place has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before booking the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
- Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
Tips to have a great stay:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if damages are assessed.
- Respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to drive new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
