- The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Booking websites typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Often, management companies supply Beaufort, SC area travel guides that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the perfect vacation home in Fripp Island:
- First and foremost, have your group select date ranges and a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Oceanfront, Steps from the beach, 706 Whiting has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, call the property management company before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what is right for your vacation.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
During your stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, note any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the property manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many concerns.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
- Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
