Tricks and tips to get the best Beaufort, SC vacation property experience:
Find your best deal:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guides contain offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Selecting the best rental in Fripp Island:
- Select a group leader, select your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Oceanfront, Steps from the beach, 706 Whiting has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. If not, email or call the host before booking the vacation property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is best for your group.
- If there's an individual Beaufort, SC beach you simply love, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or could be applied to your agreement.
More tips for your stay:
- Add the property manager's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Document any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many difficulties.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a fantastic time? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
