How to find the best Beaufort, SC vacation home experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To get the best vacation home for your budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Begin by selecting a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Fairway to Heaven - Golf Views, Close to Beach & Pools has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before booking the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your contract.
- If there's a specific Beaufort, SC destination you crave, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Know before you go:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the rental manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to drive more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
