Booking the best Fripp Island vacation rental experience:
Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer time is high season in Fripp Island. Book your Beaufort, SC vacation home in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Some owners offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
How to select the best rental:
- Start by having your group commit to trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Stunning Oceanfront Fripp Island Home! - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your trip.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Know before you go:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of problems.
- Lock your rental while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
- To make certain damages are not linked to your stay, note any problem areas during check in. Speak to the host immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a terrific time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
