Please read as there are a few recommendations for the home:
1. Please make sure the refrigerator door is closed after opening. It takes a bit of force to close.
2. To open the garage, come in the home first and press the middle of the up and down button on the garage opener. Please close it from the inside as well. You can come in through the back or from upstairs.
3. The right side of the garage is lower to the ground so if you have a tall car park in the left side.
4. PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE ROAD OR IN THE NEIGHBORS YARD ACROSS THE STREET. If you have too many cars to fit in the garage and driveway, park at the golf course as it is only a 2-min. walk from the home! (Get a pass to park at the golf course in the pro shop).
5. Make sure to keep trash enclosure closed after depositing trash.
6. Please do not unplug the sprinkler system in garage

Tricks and tips to get the very best Beaufort, SC vacation rental experience:

Sticking to your rental budget:

  • Summertime is high season in Fripp Island. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
  • In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guides which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

More tips for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.
  • Upon check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
