Tips for getting the best rental home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, , and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Selecting the perfect rental in the Beaufort, SC area:
- Choose dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. “Playin’ Through” - Pet Friendly, Golf Cart included, Club Cards available - 22 Davis Love has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rentals search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the host before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
- If your group is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
Tips for a fantastic stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of problems.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a wonderful time? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
