Tips for getting the perfect Fripp Island rental experience:

Getting the best value:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in Fripp Island. To get the best value, try shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many property management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines which include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your Search:

  • First and foremost, have your group commit to dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Resort Access Included! Pet Friendly with a Fee! Perfect Central Fripp Island Location! Steps from the beach! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the property manager before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, SC destination you crave, browse homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Add the host's information to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • Note any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to inspire new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
