How to find the best Beaufort, SC rental home experience:
Get the most from your rental budget:
- Summer time is high season in Fripp Island. Book your rental in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines that include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to select the perfect vacation home:
- Select dates and spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Newly Updated Sunsuite! Resort Access Always Included! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's a particular Beaufort, SC destination you long to visit, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
More considerations:
- Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- At Check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a terrific stay? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
