Booking the best vacation rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- To get the best value, shift your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides contain offers and deals for local accommodations and attractions.
How to select the perfect rental home in the Beaufort, SC area:
- Choose your dates and spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration you need. Shorely Blessed on Marlin, Pet Friendly, 6 seat golf cart included has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property manager before you book your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
- Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
More considerations for your visit:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the property manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
