Tricks and tips to get the best vacation property experience:
Finding the best rental home value:
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Booking your Beaufort, SC vacation rental in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Selecting and booking the perfect Beaufort, SC vacation home:
- To start, have your group decide on the best dates and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. 266 Tarpon Blvd, Crab Cottage - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before you book the vacation home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
- If there's a particular Beaufort, SC beach you simply love, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
Tips for your stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect your property!
- Note any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
