Tricks and tips to get the best Beaufort, SC vacation home experience:
Find your perfect vacation home:
- To get the best value, try shifting your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area travel guides which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Choosing the best vacation rental in Fripp Island:
- Begin by choosing the best vacation week and a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Spectacular mid-island beachfront home has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the host before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation group.
- Visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
Tips for your stay:
- We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make sure damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Call the rental manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep the property locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a great time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
