Getting the best vacation home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Book your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Choosing the best rental home in Fripp Island:
- First and foremost, have your family agree to a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Sweet Emocean - Dog Friendly, Oceanfront, Private, Newly Remodeled, 704 Tautog has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or may be applied to your invoice.
- Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
- During check-in, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to stimulate new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
