Our top Rental property booking tips:
When to book a Beaufort, SC rental & When to go:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Fripp Island. To get the best value, change your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm weather, , and reduced traffic.
- The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
- Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the best vacation home:
- Choose your vacation dates and budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. 643 New Haven - New to VRBO! Resort Access Included! has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rental home search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
Know before you go:
- Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- Make a record of any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Be respectful. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental while you are out. Protect your property!
- Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your family have a great vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
