Tips and Tricks to get the best Fripp Island rental home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- June, July, and August are high season in Fripp Island. To get the most suitable rental within budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Beaufort, SC restaurants, beaches, and activities.
- Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have discounts for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Planning and choosing your prefect Beaufort, SC rental home:
- Select a group leader, choose your vacation week, and choose a budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Beautiful ocean views, golf cart included, new to rental market has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property manager before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what configuration is right for your trip.
- If your group is bringing pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
Know before you go:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many concerns.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Note any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a excellent stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
