Tricks and tips to get the best Fripp Island vacation home experience:
How to get the best value:
- Book your Beaufort, SC vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain coupons for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.
Planning and picking the bestrental home:
- Begin by choosing your a vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Captain John Fripp Villa Pool side and Ocean View has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the host before booking your rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's an individual Beaufort, SC destination you long to visit, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
- Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Add the host's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Record any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if there is a dispute.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
