Tips to get the best Beaufort, SC vacation property experience:

How to get the best value:

  • To book the most suitable rental home within your budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing the best vacation home in the Beaufort, SC area:

  • Select a group lead, choose your dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Charming 4-bedroom house close to Parris Island and downtown Beaufort has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before reserving your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what bed configuration is right for your group.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • During arrival, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a terrific vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
