Strategies to get the best Fripp Island rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
- Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of SC. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Choosing and booking yourrental home:
- Start by choosing your a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Gone with the Marsh - Four Bedroom House, Sleeps 10 has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible online. If not, reach out to the host before you book your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
- Looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Considerations for your stay:
- Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
