How to find the best Beaufort vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Summer is high season in the Beaufort, SC area. Booking in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Remodeled unique vacation rental in the heart of Historic Beaufort has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, SC rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the host before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the property manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
