How to book the best Fripp Island vacation property experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Summer months are high season in Fripp Island. To get the best value, shift your family's Beaufort, SC vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, SC area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and pick yourvacation home:

  • Select a group leader, choose your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Waterfront Property with Million Dollar Sunset Views!! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before booking your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your group.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Get specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Advice for a great stay:

  • Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Contact the property manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on good feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
