Tricks and tips to get the optimal Beaufort, SC rental experience:
When to go & When to reserve a Fripp Island rental home:
- In the Beaufort, SC area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
- To find the best value, shift your vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers often offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Make a plan and pick your Beaufort, SC rental:
- Choose vacation week and max budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. 144 Captain John Fripp - Ocean Front - Next to Main Beach Access at Beach Club has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is right for your group.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your contract.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Tips for your stay:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Note any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be respectful. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a great stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
