Tricks and tips to get the best Beaufort, SC vacation home experience:
Get the best value:
- Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Beaufort, SC area. To book the most suitable vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Beaufort, SC attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, management companies supply Beaufort, SC area travel guide magazines which will include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself.
