Spring and Fall are spectacular on Fripp Island. Because the breakfast room blocks the wind, you can spend sunny days on the upper deck nearly year round. The 3 outdoor decks are as pretty as the interior. There are impressive ocean vistas from all the living areas and 2 of the decks. On the ground level, you will find a bedroom (2 twin beds) with an ocean view, private bath with shower and french doors opening onto the 20 x 30 ft. deck, a dining area, and a huge outdoor shower. The main living areas and 4 other bedrooms are upstairs. Upstairs Bedrooms: (1) Master (King Bed) with its own private deck and private bath (with Steam Shower). (2) A modest Bedroom (2 twin beds). This room has hanging hooks & storage bins but no closet. This room is suitable for young kids. (3) Bedroom (King bed) which opens to a Bath with Jacuzzi (this bathroom also opens to the hallway - near the modest twin bedroom). (4). The 4th upstairs Bedroom (King Bed) has a private bathroom with shower and some ocean view.
Ring doorbell and camera covers only the front door area and the front drive.
The home accommodates 10 people. (3 King beds and 4 twins). I of the twin rooms is a modest sleeping room with no closet and it is only suitable for younger kids. High Chair & Pack and Play included upon request.
The Breakfast Room has 3 walls of glass with a view from 1 end of the Island to the other - a ideal place to have an early cup of coffee and watch the sunrise. For dining, the Breakfast Table seats 5, the Dining Table seats 8-10, and the picnic table on the upper deck seats 10. There is also a table with seating for 8 on the lower deck. There are 2 Seating Areas - a 23 x 18 Family Room with Flat Screen TV (seats 9 comfortably) and a room with a smaller seating area with a Fireplace. The Breakfast room has a Day bed and TV. The home has (2) WiFi, 6 TV's, trash compactor, and charcoal grille. There are 10 beach chairs and beach towels for your use. However, you may never want to leave the home or the upper deck! Rental property booking tips and tricks:
When to book a Beaufort, SC rental home & When to go:
- Booking your vacation home in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies supply Beaufort, SC area travel guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning and choosing the rightrental:
- First and foremost, have your group select a vacation week and a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. BEACHFRONT ACCESS 24\/7. has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking websites. If not, email or call the property manager before reserving the property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
Have a wonderful stay:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
- Record any issues with the property at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute arises.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to inspire more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
