- Private vacation home

This striking three bedroom, two and a half bath golf course home overlooks the sixteenth fairway and green of one of two golf courses on this 6000 acre private island off the coast of Beaufort, SC. Twenty years ago we purchased the home and completely refreshed and redecorated it with new carpeting, paint, furnishings, appliances ,kitchen items and linens. We visit it often, and every year we continue to improve it for you and for us to savor. Recently, we removed the carpeting and installed wood floors in the entire home except the bedrooms. We completely modernized the master bath area. It is now tiled with a walk in shower, a new vanity, mirrors, lighting, etc. We tore out the old, cracked and buckled asphalt driveway and installed pavers for the driveway and walkway.
**** AMENITY CARDS*****
Recently, the Fripp Island Corporation was bought out, and the new owners have vastly increased the cost of amenities cards. We are members of the Fripp Island Club and, therefore, can offer our guests luxury cards. However, guests may wish to consider whether the benefits are worth the new costs. In addition to the $50 per card per week fee, the corporation will now collect an additional 12.8% fee based on the weekly rental. Those guests who choose to purchase the luxury cards will be able to appreciate the fine recreational facilities and programs available on Fripp Island. Privately owned, with access restricted to preserve the high standards you expect, the Fripp Island sports and dining conveniences are designed to provide exceptional satisfaction.
Those guests who choose to not purchase conveniences cards will still have access to all of the handsome natural wonders of Fripp Island: the marvelous beaches, the nature walk off of Porpoise Drive, striking ocean vistas, playing in the surf, all of the wonders that separate a trip to Fripp from a hotel resort stay . In addition, drives off island can provide impressive local eateries and golfing facilities.
**** GOLF CART ****
Most of our guests want to have a golf cart available. Some do not. We make a four passenger golf cart available to those who want it for an additional fee of $300 per week which is substantially less than is charged by the resort for a similar cart. ****************************************
**** WiFi and HDTV ****
We have installed wifi and an HDTV for the living room. The master bedroom has an additional HDTV. The T.V.s are connected to Dish Network with HBO and Showtime and multiple other premium networks.
****Bedrooms****
Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds, and the third has two twins. Although we have tried to think of everything to make your stay more enchanting, we welcome any suggestions you may have to make your next stay with us more fun.
Fripp Island is a private gated island off the coast of one of South Carolina’s most historic cities. The island features two championship golf courses, a tennis center, a beach club, many swimming pools with adjacent poolside bars, a marina, numerous eateries, ample wildlife, woods, marsh boardwalks and miles and miles of walkable beaches and nature trails. Included with your rental is the right of access to all of Fripp’s natural wonders.
**** The House****
The home has 1550 square feet of room plus a comfortably sized deck. The kitchen is sizable enough for more than one person to work in comfortably and has a modest breakfast nook. The living room and the master bedroom have ten foot cathedral ceilings.
Sitting on the deck, you may watch golfers or white tail deer work their way along the championship course, wave to Al, one of the alligators who resides in the lagoon across the fairway and occasionally look off to your left for a glimpse of the ocean at the inlet between Fripp Island and the neighboring Hunting Island. The ocean inlet is roughly 400 yards away. The nearest beach is a leisurely walk of about 800 yards. At least once during your stay, get up early, sit on the deck and watch the incredibly beautiful sunrise.
Our home is filled with light and features casual, comfortable furnishings, beach books and inviting spots for reading, and jigsaw puzzles. The living area's huge, open floor plan accepts the cooks among you to prepare a meal without missing the card game at the dining room table or the conversation in the living room.
Conveniences: When you arrive, you'll find the beds all made up for you with towels and toiletries in each bathroom. Not your basic rental. Our home is a home-away-from home with a huge well-equipped kitchen.. The TV in the living room is HD has a connected DVD player. The home also features wifi, a fireplace, air conditioning, cable TV, coffee maker, enormous comfortable deck, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, full kitchen, microwave, phone a large gas kettle grille for grilling out.
A POST SCRIPT: Choosing a vacation home sight-unseen is always a challenge. We know because we did it too, every summer for 30 years. But more and more we kept coming back to Fripp Island. It suited our life style. Our goal is to help you decide if our home is right for you. So please don't hesitate to ask questions.
This is not a holiday home but a home filled with adore and feelings that it belongs to someone. We have stayed at many places in the USA, but this is the best. A great vacation. Perhaps our home will be right for you.
We wish we could extend our invitation to your family family pets, we appreciate our pets and always wanted to take ours along. But we have put a lot of work, appreciate and money into making our home inviting and comfortable for us and our guests and we are concerned that ordinarily well mannered pets get nervous in new surroundings and accidents happen. So we have to ask that you not bring your pets. We also insist that you not smoke in our home.

Tips for getting the best rental home experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Beaufort, SC area. Reserve your rental property in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Many property management companies supply Beaufort, SC area visitors guides that include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, SC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and choose the right Beaufort, SC rental home:
- Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Golf Course Home: 3BR 2 1\/2 Bath, Hdtv, Wifi has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the host before you book the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
Tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- To make certain no damages are linked to your stay, record any problem areas upon check in. message the rental manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few problems.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- Re-check the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
