Tips and Tricks for getting the best Fripp Island vacation property experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- Booking in the Spring or Fall is a good way to save on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, SC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Look for your local Beaufort, SC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have coupons for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Filter your search:
- Start by choosing your vacation dates and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Near The Popular Cabana Club and Beach Access with fishing dock and Golf Cart has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible online. If not, call the property management company before reserving the vacation home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what is suitable for your vacation group.
- Is your group looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
More tips for your stay:
- Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Record any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent source for finding the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Lock your vacation home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
