Tips and Tricks to get the very best vacation property experience:

Getting the best value:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the best value, try changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to choose the best vacation home in Fripp Island:

  • Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration you need. \"Palm Paradise\" Golf cart included. has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to determine which bed configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a particular Beaufort, SC attraction you are crazy about, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

During your stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many concerns.
  • Lock your rental home while you are away. Protect your property!
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, note any problem areas upon check in. Speak to the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Re-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
